We have ambitions to change communities on a global scale, getting people back out into their neighbourhoods exploring amazing and diverse independent shops and businesses. We love what we do and we’re on the lookout for a super-talented designer to help shape Pixie for an ever-growing audience.

About the role

You will be integral in steering Pixie in the right direction from a design perspective, working closely with a UX Designer and the Development team based in Prague and Bath, to further grow the Pixie app. You will be a confident and experienced Designer who can break down barriers and be a step ahead of the game to help drive Pixie forward.

What you will need to fulfill this role

  • Have previous mobile app experience (iOs, Windows and Android)
  • Excellent knowledge of Adobe CS (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)
  • Worked in a product-driven company or a creative agency
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to create pixel perfect designs alongside a UX/UI designer
  • Not be scared to push the boundaries to deliver creative designs and thinking
  • Have an organised approach to your work and the ability to manage your busy work load and meet set deadlines
  • Be aware of trends and emerging technology to stay abreast of software changes
  • Can demonstrate a strong understanding of interaction design principles, standards and concepts
  • Good knowledge of mobile app and desktop web usability best practices as well as responsive and adaptive design approaches
  • Willing to travel to Prague/Bath (dependent on your location) to meet and work alongside the wider team

Nice-to-haves

  • Understanding of UX/UI Design, HTML and responsive design would be beneficial
  • Experience working in an agile environment
  • Experience working with remote teams
